Saying “I do” in Slovenia

For their wedding, Jo and Attish knew they wanted to say “I do” in Slovenia, a country they fell in love with instantly when they first visited a while ago. The pair planned their celebration, chose the date, and invited guests from all over the world to join them. Their dream wedding was set – and then Covid hit. They had no choice but to postpone their wedding and wait for things to get better.

Luckily, after a year we finally met in Slovenia, and I had the pleasure to capture their beautiful wedding day on video. It was worth the wait; the wedding ceremony was beyond stunning, and Jo and Attish truly are one of the best couples I've worked with.

Dvorec Zemono wedding

Jo and Attish got married on a warm summer day at Dvorec Zemono (Zemono Manor House). Zemono Manor is a fairy-tale wedding venue in the heart of Vipava Valley. Offering breathtaking views over the surrounding vineyards and picturesque hills, this is undoubtedly one of the top wedding venues in Slovenia.

But the highlight there was the food. The wedding reception was catered by Michelin star-awarded Gostilna pri Lojzetu, managed by renowned chef Tomaž Kavčič. The couple’s wedding reception menu included both a selection of Indian cuisine as well as some more local dishes, making sure none of the guests went hungry.

Bringing together friends and family from all over the world

Jo and Attish celebrated their day and their love with friends and family from all over the world. Their wedding with more than a hundred guests was organized by Karin Čemažar from Karin Weddings & Events, who made sure the event ran smoothly by taking care of every little detail.

The wedding ceremony took place at a charming little church in Vipava Valley. The ceremony decor planned by Jagoda Jabuka Gobec from Vintage poroke felt organic, yet classy, and perfectly matched the wedding vibe. The bride stunned in an elegantly fitted, crystal-beaded wedding dress with a bouquet of greenery. Her makeup and hair were done by Sandra Pranjić from Sfumato make up.

After the reception dinner, the wedding concluded with a great party, filled with dancing and laughter. And while DJ Dar Mar kept the guests on the dance floor, photographer Tamara Vidmar made sure Jo and Attish would remember not only their wedding ceremony but also the fun they had at their wedding party for years to come.

Without a doubt, Jo and Attish’s wedding was one of my favorite weddings this season. Cheers to the newlyweds, and I wish you many more happy years together!
